Beer is an enabler. Sounds bad, is often actually good. As with most things, how it functions is in the hands (mouth, etc.) of the user. The right beer in the right place at the right time can be the sort of bridge-builder we are often short of these days. What I want is a beer that can help us turn down the volume on the pervasive rage-inducing noise and pay attention to the background hum of the actual life that surrounds us. An excuse for sociability. An end of day ritual with friends. Airplane Mode in a glass. 

This little beer can’t make you a more present person, but dadgummit does it ever want to try. Produced in collaboration with our good friends at Living Haus Beer Company (Portland, OR), Five Star is an homage to the everyday drinking beer of Czechia, Světlé Výčepní Pivo (rough translation “pale draft beer”). Double decocted, liberally hopped, cold everything-d, made for drinking in quantity. All hyperbole aside, we do hope that you find it a worthy enabler of and companion for time well spent with others.
